Being close to my step-sisters when I have a damaged relationship with my blood sister is hard. I feel shame for spending time with them. When I mentioned them as my sisters I am corrected by my childhood friends. I am not allowed to talk about my life in my dad's house as I am usually spending time with them.

So family becomes pieces

If I were to choose I would keep them in my family and in a good place that is. It's them that I talk all the time to. And it's them that I share the most to.

But it is me who chooses, right? Who else can make that choice for me?

So let me introduce you to my beloved room decoration. This candle is a gift from the dad of my step-siblings for my entrance to college. And it shall be known that it is a part of my life with them that is in display.
